This holiday season, easily make the perfect appetizer for guests to enjoy before the main course. The bacon brie crescent wreath is a celebration of great flavors with crispy bacon, gooey baked brie and sweet pepper jelly enveloped in a flaky crust and topped with a homemade honey mustard glaze. Let’s dig in!
Slice the bacon into quarter slices and cook the over medium heat in a skillet. Set it aside to cool off and crisp up.
Slice the brie cheese into thin 1-inch slices
Spray the pizza pan or baking sheet with cooking spray to ensure the dough does not stick to the pan. Unroll the crescent dough and separate the dough triangles. Place the triangles on the pizza pan one at a time, slightly overlapping the triangles to create the shape of a wreath.
Place the cooked bacon on the dough, followed by slices of brie cheese, then spoon the pepper jelly on top of the brie cheese.
Gently fold the ends of the triangles of the crescent rolls over the fillings and tuck them underneath to secure the wreath’s shape.
Place the crescent wreath into the center of the preheated oven and bake for around 20–25 minutes until the crescent dough turns a wonderful golden hue.
While the crescent wreath is in the oven, mix together the honey, whole-grain mustard in a small bowl.
Once the wreath is out of the oven and still warm, brush the glaze over the top. The sweet and tangy notes of the glaze will complement the rich, savory flavors perfectly. Sprinkle a few fresh herbs over the top and tuck some herbs around the outer edges of the wreath to add more color to the final product.
Transfer the crescent wreath to a serving platter. Add any reaming bacon and brie pieces to the center of the wreath with a small fork. Slice the crescent wreath into even portions. The crescent wreath is ready to serve!
